Bickmat's Razz Poker journey

cdogg215 challanged me to a $5 sit and go and just destroyed me.

Added an article to my bankroll status (see menu on left) describing how I built my bank roll from $100 to $4,000 How I built my poker bankroll

I also created a simplified view of my sit and go history

I managed to post a winning session this time. I'm working on being more aggressive in Razz and we'll see if that works out or not.

The highlight of the night happened when I was sitting at the 2/4 table and guess who sits down....

Huckleberry Seed!!! He's one of the Full Tilt Poker professionals.

All my hands held up and I beat him out of the bring in. I'm sure he wasn't playing his 'A' game at these limits but it's still fun that Full Tilt pros sit down at the lower limits.

Well when you can't win you keep going down in stakes. Got a win out of this one but it was not easy. Cucumbersnow was playing very tight so could not get much leverage on her.

Was down to 300 chips at one point and picked up a few pots which enabled me to start stealing as the blinds had gotten fairly high.

This game really emphasized to me that you must play razz agressively. If you do not you can not win (at least in tournaments and heads up)

Ugh another sit an go loss. I used to be good at these I think.

Went down to the $20 and still could not win one of these.

Well since I lost to Peony decided to go and do some more tests on my guinea pig redeste. He held out this time and turned the tables on me.

Grr another loss to peony. I tried a more aggressive style and it seemed to help.

Wanted to try out an extreme aggro strategy and regested was my guinea pig. Worked out pretty well for me. Not sure how well it would do againt a razz regular though.

Another down session which is disappointing since this is a back to back loss. The consolation story is that I was $500 but ended up taking a shot at 15/30 again.

I played 2 $10 tourneys taht cdogg215 organized which was fun. First time around I bust out 2nd as all my hands just fell apart.

Second tourney I was a little smarter and tried to stay clear of the raising wars that happen at the begining. Caught a little luck and made it to fourth position by busting out cdogg215 (sorry about that dude) Can't remember how the 4th person busted out but then it was just me a little doggy and the magician (I can't remember the player names right now)

Magician had 5k chips and me and doggy where struggling with 2k. Luckily for magician was playing really tight pobably hoping me and doggy would finish each other off. However we just stole his antes pretty mercilessly.

I ended up with 4k chips and doggy went to steal with an 8 showing against my a5[T]. I called and got a little lucky to knock him out.
After that I was able to just play semi agressive and chipped away at magican till he bottomed out.

I've been doing horrible in the heads up sit and go tables. I'll need to re-look at what I'm doing here.
